Okay, as the author of this post I do feel a bit ridiculous congratulating myself. However, I am pumped that I have received my first grant approval since I started at KOB in November. I wrote to the Barren River Community Collaborations for Children for a grant that would allow us to update the information we provide in the teacher packets that accompany the Substance Abuse education program. These packets provide teachers with more information and activities that can be shared with a class.
On another note, I’ve been working on the individual puppet blogs for the past few days. They’re shaping up quite nicely so far. I’ll leave you with one of the kid’s blogs. This is one that I believe both parents and children can enjoy. Check him out here: http://www.stephenkykob.blogspot.com/.

ReplyDeleteIf anyone else is reading, don't forget to donate to the Child Victims' Trust Fund when you file your taxes. If you file online, the state software will offer to take a donation for you - it's almost painless!
